5 Stars Great Quality Blank DVD-Rs
I barely find a coaster on the Verbatim DVD-R’s. It is as par as with the Maxells, Sony’s, TDKs and RiDatas that I have used before. Try to stay away from unknown brands that is kind of a hit or miss. The thing with DVD’s or CD’s is that when you find a bad one, it seems to be bunched into the same stack as they were manufactured at the same place and at the same time. My recommendation is not to burn DVDs or CDs using the maximum speed, the chance of a bad burn tend to be much much less if you use the next slower speed indicated on the media. Same as filling up the data capacity, 4200mb seems to work best for me as filling up the DVD to the edge may become problematic.

I have tried just about everybrand and CD+R and DVD+R from the big brands like sony, memorex and maxell and many other less known brands. I do not know why or what Verbatim does but these are discs are extremly versitale they will play in every player and never have errors. Simply put these are the CD+R and DVD+Rs you should buy from now on.

I do not even shop around anymore for my blank 4.7 DVD’s. The price for the Verbatim 16X Single-sided blanks cannot be beat and the quality has been perfect to date. I have learned with all of my blank media to set the record speed a bit lower than what is advertised and so it may take a few extra seconds to complete a project, but I can honestly say that I have never had a bad burn with the Verbatim discs. I have no idea why they are so inexpensive compared to other similar products, but at this point I just enjoy the savings and burn my projects with total confidence.
